THE FUTURE OF THE UTILITIES INDUSTRY

According to forecasts, the digital transformation of the energy and utilities industry will generate €1.19 trillion to €275.31 billion by early 2025.* An impressive 95% of industry leaders recognize the need for digitalization. However, progress is being slowed by paper-based workflows, meeting workforce expectations, and resources for implementing advanced technologies. 

The European Union (EU) is particularly aware of the latter challenge. To promote the implementation of new innovations, member states, companies, and utilities are recommended to train 20% of their employees in digital and internet skills starting at the beginning of this year. In addition, EU companies and utilities are currently advised to train 70% of their workforce in ICT and cybersecurity.
